This Unit will perform the following functions:

Provide legal services and legal assistance to the Ministry's Departments and Units, as well as institutions under the Ministry, in interpreting laws, contract terms, international agreements, privatization contracts, procurement agreements, guarantees, letters of intent, memoranda of understanding, consultancy agreements, and other types of contracts and legal documents.

1. Offer legal expertise in the preparation of legislation, including the drafting of Parliamentary Bills and Regulations, and submit them to the Office of the Attorney General.
2. Oversee contract negotiations in the development of the Culture, Arts, and Sports sectors.
3. Provide legal support and services to the Ministry and its institutions.
4. Participate in various discussions and meetings requiring legal expertise in the Culture, Arts, and Sports sectors.
5. Interpret laws related to the Culture, Arts, and Sports sectors.
6. Liaise with the Office of the Attorney General regarding litigation and other legal claims involving the Ministry.
7. Provide legal expertise to the Office of the Attorney General in reviewing legal documents such as permits, notices, certificates, contracts, and transfer deeds.
